Physiotherapy referrals received by our service from CHI consultants only will be triaged and prioritised accordingly. An initial physiotherapy appointment will then be sent by post.
If you are unable to attend your initial or any follow-up appointment, please ring to reschedule the appointment no less than 24 hours before the appointment in question. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another family who is waiting. Please call us to reschedule an appointment.
Please note if you fail to attend an appointment without notifying us, we will send you a letter asking you to make contact to reschedule. If you fail to respond to this letter within four weeks your child may automatically be discharged and will need to be re-referred by your CHI consultant.
Please attend your appointment on time as we cannot guarantee that you will be seen if you are late. Appointments generally last between 30-60 minutes. Please bring appropriate clothing eg. shorts and t-shirt, to optimise the physiotherapy assessment.
