Dr Aideen Byrne is a Consultant in Allergy and works within the Allergy Service at Children's Health Ireland.
Allergy
The Allergy Service at Children's Health Ireland provides specialist assessment, diagnosis and management for infants, children and young people with suspected or confirmed allergic conditions. Our multidisciplinary team supports children with food allergies, drug allergies, allergic rhinitis, eczema associated with allergic disease and a range of other allergic conditions. We work closely with families, GPs and hospital specialists to provide evidence-based care, education and long-term management.
Referrals
The Allergy Service accepts referrals for children requiring specialist assessment of suspected or confirmed allergic conditions. Referral criteria, referral forms and contact details for healthcare professionals are available through the service page. Referrals should be made in accordance with CHI referral pathways.
Referrals from GPs and Secondary Care Paediatricians are accepted via Healthlink or as typed letters.
