Children’s Health Ireland HIQA Quality Improvement Plan Update (June 2026)

There were nine recommendations for CHI following publication of the HIQA Independent review of governance at Children’s Health Ireland in the use of implantable medical devices, including the use of non-CE marked springs in spinal surgery at CHI at Temple Street in April 2025. These resulted in 31 actions within this quality improvement plan, which are now complete.
