CHI Celebrates Nomination at the LGBTQ+ GALAS Awards 2025
13 Deireadh Fómhair 2025

Children's Health Ireland (CHI) is proud to announce that we were shortlisted for the “Outstanding Company Employees Award” at the prestigious GALAS Awards 2025, Ireland’s annual celebration of LGBTQ+ excellence and allyship.
Organised by the National LGBTQ+ Federation (NXF) in partnership with GCN (Gay Community News), The GALAS honour individuals, companies, and organisations who make Ireland a better, more inclusive place for LGBTQ+ people.
This year’s ceremony took place on Saturday, October 4, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Radisson Blu Hotel, and was hosted by the much-loved I’m Grand Mam duo, PJ Kirby and Kevin Twomey. The event recognised achievements across 15 categories, highlighting remarkable contributions to culture, business, allyship, and community impact.
CHI’s nomination in the Outstanding Company Employees Award category is a reflection of the dedication of our people to fostering a workplace where inclusion, respect, and equality are lived values every day. Out of 14 nominations, CHI was one of only four organisations shortlisted, alongside Catapult, Crosscare, and eBay.
Being shortlisted for this award is an outstanding achievement and a source of great pride for everyone at CHI. It reflects the collective dedication and passion of our employees who champion inclusion across our hospitals and services every day. To be recognised as an outstanding company highlights the real progress CHI has made in embedding equality, diversity, and belonging into the heart of our culture. This recognition reinforces that our ongoing efforts to create a safe and supportive environment, where every individual feels seen, valued, and respected, are truly making an impact.
“Being shortlisted for the 2025 GALAS is a testament to the collective effort of our teams, allies and rainbow badge champions who stand up for inclusion in healthcare. Initially introduced as a symbol of safety for our LGBTQ+ patients and families, it has become so clear to us that the initiative also has such a positive impact on our staff. The nomination remind us that visibility, solidarity, and pride remain powerful tools in building equality within CHI.
We are honoured to stand alongside so many inspiring organisations and individuals who continue to shape a more compassionate and inclusive Ireland.
