Notice to patients and families regarding National Industrial Action – Wednesday 14 October
Outpatient appointments and some elective procedures affected by national industrial action

Due to national public sector industrial action on Wednesday 14 October, all outpatient department (OPD) appointments and some elective (non-emergency) procedures at Children’s Health Ireland will be cancelled. Some planned procedures on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 October may also be affected and parents/guardians will be contacted.
Families will receive a text if their appointment is cancelled, and CHI will contact families to reschedule. Families with urgent appointments that are going ahead will be contacted directly.
CHI at Connolly will be closed until 1pm. Walk in's will not be accommodated. Appointments will be available from 1pm-5pm, book online as normal.
Emergency care will remain available for children who need emergency medical attention. Our teams will continue to care for children staying in hospital.
