Dr Gorman completed her specialist training in General Paediatrics in Ireland, with subspecialisation in Paediatric Neurology. Dr. Gorman undertook clinical fellowships in neurocritical care in Ann and Robert Children’s Hospital, Chicago and, movement disorders in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Her MD research focused on the application of whole-exome sequencing in neurological conditions.
Dr. Gorman’s clinical interests include epilepsy, neurogenetics, movement disorders, and neonatal neurology. In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively involved in professional leadership, training and research. She serves on the board of the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS) and is an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Paediatric Neurology.
