Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Intestinal Failure and Transplant Medicine (GHIFT)

The Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Intestinal Failure and Transplant Medicine (GHIFT) at Children's Health Ireland (CHI). We provide a national service for all children in Ireland with diseases of the digestive system or liver. Our multidisciplinary consultant-led team includes consultants, non-consultant hospital doctors (NCHDs), advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs), clinical nurse specialists (CNSs), dietitians, social workers, psychologists, researchers and administration support staff.

Referrals

Referrals from secondary care or tertiary care Paediatricians are accepted via Healthlink or as typed letters; referrals from GPs will in general only be accepted if they fall into the urgent triage category. For more information, please visit the service page.
