Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Service at Children's Health Ireland provides specialist surgical care for infants, children and young people with congenital and acquired heart conditions. Working as part of the national Congenital Heart Network, the service delivers complex cardiac surgery and collaborates closely with paediatric cardiology, intensive care, anaesthesia and specialist nursing teams to provide comprehensive care before, during and after surgery.
Referrals
Patients are referred to the Cardiothoracic Surgery Service through the Congenital Heart Network and specialist cardiac teams. Referral pathways and service information are available through the Cardiology service.
