Our services

Paediatric dermatology is a branch of medicine that deals with skin, hair, nail and mucosal problems in children from birth to adolescence.

Conditions we treat

Some common and rare skin problems can affect children. One in five children is affected by atopic dermatitis, and a diverse range of more than 2,500 dermatological diseases are less frequently encountered.

For healthcare professionals

All Referrals for Dermatology at Children's Health Ireland are managed by our Central Referrals Office. Referrals from GPs and Secondary Care Paediatricians are accepted via Healthlink or by email at chireferrals.ly@childrenshealthireland.ie

All referrals are triaged based on the clinical information provided.
Referrals that do not include relevant clinical details and/or prior treatment history will be rejected.
