Is your child under 3 months? *
Is your child presenting with poisoning / ingestion of chemicals or medications? *
Does your child have serious trouble breathing or chest pain? *
Does your child have severe tummy pain or suspected appendicitis? *
Does your child have a serious head or neck injury, or severe burns? *
Does your child have a fever lasting longer than 5 days? *
Does your child have testicular pain? *
Does your child have an illness related to a complication of a chronic or longstanding condition? *
Does your child have a problem relating to mental health illness / anxiety or acute behavioural disturbance? *
Does your child have an illness or condition where your GP has recommended a blood test? *
Your child’s condition is not suitable to be assessed within a minor injury/illness unit.

Your child’s condition is suitable to be assessed within a minor injury/illness unit.
On arrival at the UCC, it may be determined that your child's condition is best treated in a different facility.
In this situation your child may not undergo medical assessment in UCC, however the UCC team will help advise you of the best place for the most appropriate care and treatment of your child.
